Central Minnesota Retriever Club (CMRC) was founded in the 1940's by Lawrence Martin who trained service dogs in the military. When he came home he continued his passion for dogs training retrievers on his grounds, Martin's Meadows. It was during this period that he founded CMRC. CMRC sits on 120 acres of training grounds with 5 technical water ponds. There is a club house for meetings and shelter from the weather. The club holds two licensed AKC field trials and one AKC hunt test. Throughout the year we hold a number of informal trials which are great practice for both the handler and the dog. CMRC is always welcoming new members, for $50 a year you will have a great place to train your dog in a relaxed setting along with a wealth of information from other members both pro and amature.
